When I first signed up for aerial yoga teacher certification, I have to admit, I was dreading it a little. Let’s be honest—most trainings can be BORING! But this training was anything but! From day one, Ariel set the tone by providing us with beautiful, thoughtfully written, well-organized manuals that we can continue to use as valuable resources long after the training ended. We started with the foundations: safety and aerial yoga basics. But this wasn’t simply Ariel talking while we sat and listened. My classmates and I were fully engaged, asking questions, sharing insights, and learning together. The energy was interactive, engaging, and encouraging. Next, Ariel guided us through an aerial yoga class—something we had all experienced hundreds of times before. Only this time, we were looking at it through an entirely different lens: that of a teacher. We began to understand that knowing how to DO a pose and knowing how to TEACH it are two very different things! Then came the practicums, where we each had the opportunity to teach mini-classes. Ariel makes teaching aerial yoga look so effortless, but finding the right words to explain concepts, communicate instructions, and guide others through the experience requires a whole new level of thinking. Let’s just say my brain got a serious workout! And it all culminated in each of us teaching a 45-minute class. It was exhilarating, challenging, and, at times, downright terrifying! But through it all, Ariel was loving, patient, and incredibly supportive. And my classmates and I cheered one another on every step of the way. The encouragement, the HYPE, the sisterhood—it was something special! That experience truly reflects what makes Hype! Studio so special. It is a place where every person is seen, valued, and appreciated for their unique gifts. I feel that in regular classes, and I felt it throughout this training. Female empowerment at Hype! Studio isn't just hype—it's a way of being. Ariel recognizes that we each bring something unique to the table, and she has already begun tapping us to lead classes that reflect our individual strengths and gifts. She doesn't just teach us how to become instructors; she helps us recognize what we each have to offer. I wholeheartedly recommend Ariel’s aerial yoga teacher certification training to anyone considering taking that next step. Whether you want to deepen your own practice, grow in confidence, or share your love of aerial yoga with others, this experience will challenge you, inspire you, and help you see aerial yoga in an entirely new way.
